Establishment of Green Job Community in Asia-Pacific

On 14th-15th Desember 2010, Indecon was invited as observer in event organized by ILO: “Establishing a Regional Community of Practice for Green Job in Asia and the Pasific”. The event took place in Jakarta, participated by approximately 30 participants - government representatives, private sectors association, and labor union -  from India,Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand, Filipina, China, Nepal and Indonesia. Aimed to establish “Green Job” community in Asia-Pasific, ILO provided the web-portal complete with its facilitator/moderator.

In this two-days event, ILO facilitated the activities usinginformal and participativemethod. Participants were divided into groups and together they formulated the vision, working area,products, and services from this community. They also tried to drew the road map and looked up for online discussion topics for one year. It is expected that after this event, the participants will register to be members and engage their colleaguesto join Green Job Community.
