Let us be mesmerized by LESSER SUNDA ISLANDS

Mount Rinjani National Park has long been a magnet for mountain climbers. Located in Lombok Nusa Tenggara, it features the Rinjani crater rim, Segara Anak Lake, sacred hot springs, and summit (3,726m). The destination has been world widely acknowledged. Supported by NZAID, Rinjani Trekking Management Board is an initiative of collaborative management between nine institutions, including local governments, National Park, indigenous tribes of Sasak village,  and local communities of Senaru and Sembalun Lawang village. Both villages are the entrance/exit point of the national park and have been developed as community based (eco)tourism destination in Lombok. RTMB nos has been managing various tourism activities, such as trekking and village tour; providing continuous capacity building for local communities; suporting cultural preservation; as well as contributing in environmental protection of the Park and environmental management at Senaru and Sembalun village. RTMB and tourism activities have been providing jobs and improving quality of living environment for locals. Visiting Rinjani now is not only challenging and fun, but also meaningful. RTMB received the Award for innovative Tourism from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (2004) and finalist the British Airways Tourism for Tomorrow Award from WTTC for Destination Award (2005 and 2008).
